One thing Throne and Liberty does have over most MMOs is a pretty robust system of PvP . There's a spark of brilliance in the chaos of it all, especially the massive guild raids. Being surrounded by 360 degrees of bloody struggle, trying only to stay focused on my own objectives and stay alive, was the most thrilling experience I got out of Throne and Liber

**Throne and Liberty ** , developed by NCSoft and published by Amazon Games in the US, has a bit of a troubled history behind it. Originally announced in 2011, it was intended to be a sequel to the groundbreaking Lineage series, built on decades of immersive online RPGs. But the project was delayed multiple times, eventually splintering off into an original piece of IP, and being rebranded Throne and Liberty in 2
Besides the regular nodes that appear in the map, there are other ways to get certain resources. One of them is by slaying enemies, which occasionally drop items like Leather , Salt, and Magithread. These resources are also exclusive drops or rewards from events and quests/bounties, so players should keep a steady balance between gathering and conducting other activities to get all the things they n
Throne and Liberty was developed by NCSoft and had been live in Korea since December 2023, so it has had some legs, hype in the MMORPG community and lessons learned before its North America release. Today we dive into my experience over the first 25 hours played of the game. In this time I have reached the max level 50 and participated in the various dungeons, world bosses, PvP, etc that the game has to offer. While truly seeing the full potential of an MMORPG could take months, we talk today about the initial feeling of this game and if it will stand the test of time.
The first thing most players will notice about Throne and Liberty strategy and Liberty ** is its gorgeous environments** . Beautifully rendered with a great deal of detail and color, it’s easy to get lost in a vista of rolling hills or craggy cliffs, or get lost down the cobblestone streets and dirt roads of its bustling towns. This carefully detailed, immersive atmosphere is aided by good, occasionally great music, with much of the game scored by lilting flute melodies that complement and elevate the visu
Armed with the knowledge on where these nods spawn more frequently, players can arrange their own farming routes. But they should also be aware of the aggressive monsters roaming the higher level areas, since the resources nodes are procedural , they are prone to spawn near a monster z
Wand & Tome lets players do it all, they can heal, debuff, and fight at any range, and it synergizes very well with other weapons. Having such a prominent focus on healing and debuffs allows users to be quite tanky, and can remove crowd control effects. Players that master using Want & Tome are going to be very hard for their opponents to deal with. This contradicts a lot of games that make magic and intelligence-focused characters glassy in nat
Throne and Liberty ** ’s gameplay is pretty typical of the genre.** There are seven character classes, each of which is based around a particular weapon type: greatsword, sword and shield, daggers, crossbows, longbow, wand, and staff. Each is also associated with an auto-attack and a defensive skill, as well as a glut of active and passive abilities that make up the bulk of combat. These may be AoEs, push attacks, damage mitigation, or anything else. You can have two different weapons equipped at any given time - generally one melee and one ranged - and swap between them with the press of a but
Dungeons and Resource Crates , which are common rewards from completing activities, are other steady sources of materials . Events are a great way to get more resources of specific kinds, for example: During the Wolf Hunting Contest event in Blackhowl Plains event, players might notice the drops of Leather are increased. So participating in these events is definitely worth a shot for those lacking specific kinds of materi
The single greatest choice for any PvP player may very well be the Dagger. Whether it is being used as the primary focus or their second weapon choice, this weapon will spike critical hits and maneuverability. This means it takes all the elements a player needs to keep in mind while fighting other players and makes them more effective. Just like with Greatswords, players will want Dexterity to be a stat they pay a lot of attention to. Stats affect combat performance over other elements of the game, such as how fast Morphs and Shapeshifts can m
If you are pairing daggers with a ranged weapon such as the staff, you will replace some of the more melee-focused skills, such as Cleaving Moonlight and Brutal Incision . You may choose to keep Shadow Strike as a great options for getting out of a frontal attack and teleporting behind the b
When I play I like to see my DPS (damage per second). I like to see it pitted against the other players in my group to see how I'm performing (Hi damage meters in WoW!), but more importantly and more essential for me is to just at least see my own DPS, I don't even need to see other people's. Seeing my own damage output allows me to set benchmarks for myself and set my goals on improving that number and continuing to optimize my setup to push higher and higher. Without something like this, I'm not sure I will remain hooked on the game. Not knowing how much I am contributing to the group makes it feel like I'm just along for the ride and I may not be an important part of the effort.
